New Music Festival For Hobart

Hobart’s waterfront will come alive this November with the launch of Night at The Point, a new open-air concert series at Wrest Point.

Running November 7–9, the event will feature performances by Jon Stevens, PNAU, Dami Im, and Delta Goodrem—marking her first Hobart performance in 20 years.

With premium staging, food and drinks, and river views, the festival promises a spectacular new addition to Tasmania’s live music scene.

Restaurant Shares The Joy Of Giving

New to Hobart’s Harrington Street, Ly Quan Restaurant is already making a heartfelt impact.

Owners Lily and Andry Tan have launched “Joy of Giving, Pay it Forward,” allowing customers to buy meals for those in need.

Through a simple Giving Board system, anyone doing it tough can enjoy a meal, no questions asked.

It's a gesture of kindness rooted in compassion, dignity, and the couple’s deep commitment to community connection.

Property of The Week

174 East Derwent Highway, Lindisfarne combines timeless Federation charm with sweeping views of the River Derwent, Tasman Bridge, and kunanyi/Mount Wellington.

Built circa 1910, this beautifully maintained four-bedroom home features high ceilings, a sun-filled sunroom, expansive living areas, and a seamless indoor-outdoor flow to a large backyard with a terraced entertaining space.

Perfect for families, it offers character, space, and lifestyle in one of Hobart’s most sought-after locations.

New Speed Cameras Raking It In

New speed cameras on Hobart’s Tasman Bridge have detected 3,480 speeding offences and generated over $434,000 in fines between March 17 and June 24.

The highest speed recorded was 120 km/h in the 70 km/h zone.

Most infringements were for minor speeding, but authorities say the cameras are crucial for improving safety on Tasmania’s busiest road, which sees frequent crashes.
