Hobart Could Reap Significant Benefits From New Stadium?

Hobart City Council has released a fresh report on the proposed Macquarie Point stadium, revealing it could pump $140 million into the economy each year during construction — and $178 million once complete.

The council felt earlier assessments didn’t fully capture the local benefits, so they commissioned their own.

🏐 Drop In Dodgeball @ Hobart PCYC | 7:30PM to 8:30PM

Description: Hobart Dodgeball is hosting drop-in dodgeball at Hobart PCYC on Tuesdays from 7:30 – 8:30 pm for ages 16+ players under the age of 18 will need to have their parent/guardian fill out a waiver. (From $10)

🎭️ Shakespeare's R&J | 7:30PM to 9:30PM (Showing Until May 10)

Location: Peacock Theatre, 77 Salamanca Place Hobart
Description: Five students attend a very strict, religious, all-male boarding school in the 1950s. One night (against all of the rules) the four teenagers are awake after hours and discover a copy of Romeo and Juliet. They all take turns reading the play aloud and to begin with - they make fun of it - but Shakespeare’s words slowly captivate them and they become completely absorbed in its telling.
