High Tide Warning
Abnormally high tides are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening, with potential flooding in low-lying coastal areas like Lauderdale and Dover.

Restaurant Of The Week
The Black Footed Pig in Hobart is a standout dining spot blending Spanish flair with Tasmanian produce.
Located on Hunter Street, this tapas bar offers a cozy yet vibrant atmosphere. Diners rave about the 'Feed Me' menu, featuring dishes like squid ink paella and kingfish tiradito.
With attentive service and a curated wine list, it's perfect for special occasions or a memorable night out.
Traffic Signal Improvements For Southern Outlet
The Tasmanian Government and City of Hobart are set to install new traffic signals at the Olinda Grove roundabout in Mount Nelson to alleviate morning peak congestion on the Southern Outlet.
The signals will activate only when queues form on the northbound off-ramp, prioritizing vehicles exiting towards Sandy Bay, the University of Tasmania, and Hobart College.
Tasmania Young Achiever Crowned
Romany Wake has been named Tasmania’s 2025 Young Achiever of the Year, also taking home the St Luke’s Healthier Communities Award.
After losing her mother Rachel to domestic violence, Romany founded Rachel’s Voice to support survivors and push for change.
Her advocacy includes work on the National Plan to End Violence Against Women and the creation of a midwifery scholarship in her mothers name.
